DJ MaveWave (aka Mike Manuel) has been a musician almost all of his life, starting music lessons at age four and learning classical and jazz piano by the age of 14. He played in his high school jazz and symphonic bands and R&B Funk band post-high school. Being around music all the time is what keeps him going. Before doing professional DJ work, he would volunteer at the local schools to run talent shows for the students to perform in and help with logistics for their other performance events. One life quote he loves is, "In music, one must think with the heart and feel with the brain." All genres, whether heart-pounding electronic dance music, old-school funky disco, soothing jazz and classical, or classic rock and heavy metal, all rejuvenate the soul.
